The front of this large lumbar pillow is made from handwoven and hand dyed rust and white mudcloth from Mali with vintage indigo from West Africa. Mudcloth is traditionally woven by men; the cotton cloth is then sewn together in strips and dyed with fermented mud. No two pieces of mudcloth or indigo are exactly the same, which makes each piece unique! The backing is a natural-coloured cotton and has an envelope enclosure.
